Terms
The short version: The Student Plug helps coordinate exchanges between students, but the deal itself is between the buyer and seller. Here's what that means in practice.
What The Student Plug does
The Student Plug helps students find, list, and request second-hand items, and coordinates communication between buyer and seller — confirming availability, connecting both sides, and helping arrange a safe meeting point.
What The Student Plug doesn't do
The Student Plug is not a party to the underlying sale between buyer and seller. We don't inspect items in person, guarantee their condition, or process payment on your behalf. Buyers and sellers remain responsible for agreeing on and completing their own transaction. No guarantees or warranties are offered on listed items.
Listings
Every listing is reviewed before it goes live. We can reject, remove, or mark a listing as reserved or sold at our discretion — for example if it looks fraudulent, prohibited, or inaccurate.
Coordination fee
The Student Plug may charge a small coordination fee for successfully facilitated transactions. Any such fee will be communicated clearly before it applies — never hidden or automatically deducted without notice.
Meeting up
Students are responsible for their own safety when meeting to complete an exchange. We encourage meeting in public, on-campus, or other busy student locations.
